A phenomenon in science that may be interesting to simulate can be found in nature. This phenomenon that I speak of is the one in which dead stuff decomposes and then replenishes the soil with essential amendments and microorganisms. The phenomenon known as decomposition.
Decomposition is essential because of two obvious things; one, we would run out of room on our planet if we were making things, but not getting rid of things, and two, it gives nutrients to the plants which then feed…

Today was a day in the dark. My eyes attached to the computer screen filled with lines of code, that to me, mean nothing. It was a day of frustration. A day of confusion. But, with confusion comes understanding and with understanding comes knowledge.
My program is meant to simulate how one's taste in music affects their friend's taste in music. It is a network in which peoples favorite genres get shared around. It is when music becomes popular, by spreading with the word of…

Fire Simulation
In the fire simulation I noticed that the more dense the forest is, the more fuel there is for the fire, therefore the fire spreads more. This simulation shows how a fire can spread throughout a forest. In the simulation, the fire starts at one end of the forest (the left side of the screen) and moves to the right. I found that at 55% density, there is more space between trees, resulting in the fire not spreading as easily. 70% burns all the way to the…

So, for geometry class at school, the final project, to show mastery of geometry, was to design and build a structure. I decided to construct a model modern house out of acrylic. The house is quite unique, especially since it posses many rare components such as hexagonal "lookouts" on the roof. It was difficult to include all of the necessary components, and make the structure look somewhat good. Some of the pieces that I had to include were triangles, circles, cubes, rectangles, squares,…

On Monday, we were given the assignment to make each other name tags, inspired by artists, for one another. The main purpose of the assignment was to refresh our brains, so that we remembered how to use all of the machines that we were taught during or previous month at the lab. I feel very comfortable using the laser cutter, therefore, that part was quite easy. However, I had never used the vinyl cutter before, so I had to learn how to use it. It was much easier to use than I expected. The…
