Musical drum pad

 

I wanted create a drum pad that performs a melody as the drum stick strikes. Typically, when practicing with snare drum sticks, one creates percussive sounds not melodies and I thought this could spice up the experience of practicing. Scratch de-bugging help!

I've set my program to increase in count everytime that >20 is sensed but it doesn't move beyond a count of 0, and I don't know why...

The program won't run unless the count goes up. Can anyone help me figure out what I've done wrong? Candy bar and a high five goes to the person who can :)

A Peter Max tribute to an unborn nephew

I was inspired by a Peter Max illustration of a psychedelic president Nixon. I've always thought Max's work was very kid-friendly (colors, stars, whimsical lines) and so with a baby nephew on the way I tried to replicate some of the elements I saw in Nixon's portrait but replace it with a lion (since the baby's name will be Leo).
